success stories!

REBA succeeds as we accomplish elements of our partnership mission through churches serving together.

Here are some examples of how we collaborate for ministry, evangelism, and discipleship success!

  • $90,000 in fire relief funds raised for

23 reba families that lost their homes

The members and network of the Redwood Empire Baptist Association generously jumped into action to aid the 23 REBA church families that lost their homes in the Tubbs wildfire in Santa Rosa. REBA distributed over $90,000 to families in need! Here is a sample of the heart-felt gratitude that fire survivors expressed to us. Letter 1. Letter 2.

  • leadership development -
a team effort fOR CHURCHES AND

    THE CHURCH INSIDE SAn quentin!

Church leaders can grow greatly by pursuing diplomas and certificates in our seminary-sourced ADVANCE Program. The Redwood Empire School of Ministry has graduated over 75 students through contextualized leadership development - and all because of our REBA church partnerships and collaboration.

Seven REBA churches have opened their doors as ADVANCE Learning Locations. Eighteen pastors and church leaders from fifteen different churches have served to deliver the training.

REBA also partners with the Golden Hills Association and San Quentin Prison to bring ADVANCE courses to student inmates. YOU can support and be a part of this exceptional ministry. • leaders get power-up in core ministries

REBA churches regularly collaborate to produce events we call Leaders' PowerUps, equipping each other in a core ministry area of our Association. We have featured excellent seminar leaders with solid track records in Community Ministry, Developing Disciples, Methods of Evangelism, Church Planting, Educational Excellence, Organizational Management, Counseling, and Peacemaking.

  • the church - taking a stand on racism

Recurring headlines of violent racist acts trumpeted a call to action among REBA pastors. They approached our Mission Catalyst and asked if a multi-church worship service could be held to demonstrate the unity in diversity of our Association of churches. Together, we would declare God's Word on the powerful position of the Church in society - That we are THE essential change agent for justice in the world. Five churches collaborated on the planning team, and ten REBA congregations participated. Scripture rang out in ten different languages at Bethel Community Church in Fairfield before 150 attendees. Worship, prayer, and the Lord's Supper were enjoyed, as REBA demonstrated love and harmony across ethnic and racial lines. Many, burdened by the painful realities of society, found fresh hope that day in the beauty of the Body of Christ and His reconciling gospel.

  • chinese church plant success

A handful of Chinese believers meeting for study and prayer in a Vacaville home approached REBA with the desire to plant a church for Mandarin speakers. Together we made the vision a reality! The Solano Chinese Christian Church meets and serves out of Trinity Baptist in Vacaville.

  • summer: a great time to collaborate

Summer is a great time to get outdoors and minister to children, youth, and families. REBA churches collaborate to design and execute summer camp ministries at Camp Cazadero for children, youth, and adults. In addition, REBA churches support the camp financially and with their on-site labor. Campers come to Christ and grow in the faith, sometimes surrendering to full-time Christian service [like Saddleback Pastor RICK WARREN!] , all because of REBA churches working in partnership!

REBA churches in Marin have worked together for several summers in a row to provide Sports Camp for children in the Canal District, where many Spanish-speaking families live. These family connections have benefited the sponsor churches and the San Rafael church planting efforts of Iglesia Bautista Renacer, a Vallejo REBA church. We coordinate across counties for Christ!

One summer, REBA churches in Vacaville heard of a visiting youth choir
from Atlanta that had one of its venues cancel suddenly. These six churches jumped into action and in 14 days planned and executed a Family Festival in Andrews Park, with free food, face painting, games, bounce houses, and a concert! Four adults received Christ as Savior in the park, and six churches garnered public awareness and a positive reputation in the city by their nimble partnership and joyful service!

  • financial help extended to all

When First Missionary Baptist Church, Marin City needed assistance in strengthening their church finance team, they thought beyond themselves, they thought Associationally! An invitation went out to all their REBA partners to share the seminar and receive vital resources from Church Finance Experts. Nine churches participated including two new church-plant core teams.  Contact Bob Lawler if you want a copy of the Updated Financial Guidebook

Thank you FMBC, for being unselfish and honoring your REBA partners.

That's what we call missional SUCCESS!
